Charles Robert Honadel Jr., 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

He was born on February 1, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles and Marie (Ritchie) Honadel. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert Honadel, Sr., and brother, James Edward Honadel.

Charlie served our country while enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After he came home he worked for Ford Motor Company. Charlie then went on to open his own business for a short time. He eventually started working for TARC; where he retired after 13 years. In his younger years he enjoyed racing go-carts; belonging to the Indiana Association of Go-Cart Racing. After Retirement, Charlie enjoyed spending time with his family and working on cars in his garage.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Norma Frances Honadel, mother, Marie Frances Honadel, son, Charles Robert (Nancy) Honadel, III, step son , Robert Joseph Berger, his sisters, Marie Frances Ashcraft, Charlene Elmore and Elizabeth Ann Besser, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A graveside service with military honors will be at 12:30 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
