Charles Edward "Chuck" Hill, 79, passed away in his Frankfort, Kentucky home on Saturday, May 21, 2016, attended by his beloved and his daughter.

Chuck was born in Coulterville, IL, on March 15, 1937. He proudly served his country from 1957 to 1961 in the United States Navy.

Chuck's love for the mountains of Arizona, where he lived for 30 years, was only exceeded by his love for his daughters, grandchildren, and his dearest friend, Patricia Pyles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loye Hill, his mother, Maggie Reynolds Hill, his sister, Dannette Hill Spencer, his brothers, Connie Ray Hill and Wayne Hill.

He is survived by his beloved, Patricia Pyles, his daughters Sandra Hill Quick (Rich), and Darla Hill Johnson (Tim), grandsons Anthony Charles Gardner and Michael Lamar Gardner, granddaughters Aprille Coryn Johnson and Terra Lane Johnson, two great-grandchildren, Haley Gardner Williams and Jayden Charles Gardner, the mother of his children, Ruby Hines Southworth, his sister Mickey Hill Koestel (Glen), and many nieces and nephews.

After a private military ceremony with honors, he will be interred at the Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery at Ft. Knox, KY, on May 31, 2016. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in his memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
