Charles Issac Hart, affectionately known as Charlie, passed away on June 30, 2026. Born on June 13, 1971, Charles’s 55 years were marked by a selfless devotion to his family, his steadfast faith, and an unwavering commitment to his community and the people of Germantown.
Throughout his life, Charles embodied humility and kindness. His love for his family was deep and abiding—a steady presence that shaped the lives of those around him. Charles cherished the bonds of friendship and community, making everyone feel welcomed and valued. As a proud and devoted member of St. Martin's Brotherhood, he found true companionship among his friends, enjoying moments of laughter and camaraderie, often with a cold Bud Light in hand. These gatherings were more than simple pastimes; they were an extension of the loyalty and warmth that defined his character.
Charles’s pride in his work for the city of Louisville was evident to all who knew him. He approached every task with dedication and respect, earning the admiration of his friends and colleagues alike. His contributions made a lasting impact on those he served and worked with, reflecting his genuine care for the place he called home.
His life was a living testament to strength—not just the strength demonstrated in facing life’s challenges, but also the strength expressed in the love he shared and the legacy he leaves behind. Though hearts are heavy with his passing, there is solace in knowing that Charles’s enduring love will continue to guide all who cherished him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, aunt, Annabelle and uncle, Billy Hart.
Charles is survived by his wife, Brenda Hart; children, Jessica Hart, Chaz (Courtney) Hart, Bre (Daniel) Millet; Kayle (Leah) Smock and Johnny "Hightower" Hart; grandchildren, Skyla, Neoma, Maverik, Nyla, Isaac, Embre, Matis, Lillian and Ryder; mother, Linda (Jim Gilbert) Hart; brother, Perry and Robert Hart and many friends.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Charles Issac Hart will be held on August 1, 2026, at St. Martins Brotherhood, located at 1502 Winter Avenue, Louisville, KY 40204. A celebration of Charles's life will begin at 6pm, family, friends and all whose lives were touched by Charles are welcome to come together to remember, celebrate, and give thanks for the remarkable life he lived.
Charles’s presence will be deeply missed, but the love and lessons he left behind will continue to inspire and comfort his family, friends, and community. May his memory be a blessing to all.
