Charles Edward Hardin

Charles Edward Hardin, 78, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. He retired from the Maintenance Department at Riverview Towers. Charles enjoyed spending time outside gardening and tending to his flowers. He was a Christian by faith and loved visiting the mountains.

He was born on March 17, 1942, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late John and Louise (Stevens) Hardin. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty (Sheckell) Hardin; daughter, Pam Cranmer (Rusty); grandchildren, Justin Cranmer (Jessica) and Jessica Cranmer Fryrear (Daniel); sisters, Donna Rager, Carolyn Clifton, and Beverly Kemp; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
