Charles Earl Davis, 76, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019. Charles was a United States Air Force veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion, and retired from Ironworkers Local 70.

He was born on October 14, 1942 in New Albany, Indiana to Charlie and Mildred Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Harold R. Davis.

Charles is survived by his loving Spouse of 58 years, Sharon R. Davis, Sons, Charlie (Jenny) Davis, and Harold (Cheryl) Davis, Daughter/Nieces, Pam (Rick) Greenwell, and Pepper (Johnny) Montgomery, Grandchildren: Nicki Davis, Jake (Marissa) Davis, Allyson Davis, Sarah Davis, and Joseph Davis, Great-Grandchildren: David Davis, Harper Davis, and Sadie Davis.

A gathering for Charles' family and friends will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of his life will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 11, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3509 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, KY 40215, with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Charles's memory be made to American Cancer Society or the Disabled American Veterans.
