Charles "Charlie" Phillips, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018.
He was born on December 3, 1950 in Rochester, New York to William and Jessie (Peak) Phillips. Charlie graduated from Flaget High School and was retired from DuPont Chemical. He proudly served his county in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Charlie also coached the Valley Vikings Little League Football in Valley Station for 10 years.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Phillips, Jr., and sister, Martha Goodman.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rose Phillips; sons, Matthew Phillips (Jayme), Alexander Alcorn; siblings, Mary Haysley, James Phillips, Anna Howle, Thomas Phillips, and Tony Phillips; grandchildren, Jacob, Leland, and Brayan.
Visitation will be from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
