Charlene "Janie" Borho, born on March 10, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She leaves behind a legacy rich in love and devotion, centered around her cherished family.
A proud graduate of New Albany High School in 1975, Janie dedicated her life to her husband, Raineldes "Randy" M. Borho. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and four exceptional sons: Anthony Borho, James "Joey" (Laura) Borho, Stephen (Jessica) Borho, and Johnathan Borho. Her greatest pride and joy came from the time spent caring for her family, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As a grandmother, Janie radiated warmth and affection to her grandsons, Brenden, Tyler, and Will. Each moment treasured together highlighted her role as a guiding light in their lives, ensuring they felt the love and support she so willingly provided.
Janie's passions extended beyond her family. She found solace in the beauty of nature, often seen watching and feeding birds, camping, hiking, or simply enjoying the outdoors. One of her favorite pastimes was walking on the Big Four Bridge, where she embraced the gentle breeze and admired the world around her.
She is also survived by her sisters, Patty McDonner and Theresa (Mike) Yeager, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundance of friends whose lives she touched.
Janie was preceded in death by her loving parents, James and Eva Heil, her brother, Thomas Heil, and her sister, Marty Tackett. The love she shared with her family and friends, along with her unwavering spirit and nurturing heart, will be dearly missed but forever remembered. Her greatest accomplishments, rooted in her devotion to those she loved, will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her.
A gathering will be held at a later date.
