Celine Marie Malisek, 78, died peacefully on August 24, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on October 13, 1942, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Celine was the oldest daughter of Anthony Malisek and Cecilia Filip Malisek. She graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Milford Connecticut and the University of Connecticut.
In the 1970s and 1980s Celine worked as the assistant to Lynn Stone, President and CEO of Churchill Downs. Then Celine and her husband, Dr. Robert E Osborn Jr, moved to California. They lived in the San Francisco Bay area for a number of years, where Celine worked for the San Francisco Giants. Following Bob's death, Celine moved back to Louisville in 2009.
Celine's parents, husband and sister, Susan Malisek Reardon, predeceased her. She is survived by her sister, Christine Malisek Mills (Richard), her nieces Jacquelyn Mills Catalosi (Vince), Meghan Reardon Smith (Chris), nephew Brian Reardon (Michelle), brother-in-law Captain Kevin John Reardon, USN (Ret.) and eight great nieces and nephews.
Celine was a keen and hugely knowledgeable sports fan who would have made an excellent sports commentator if she had been born a few decades later. She also loved dogs, especially border collies, and raised a number of them over the years. She made many friends at the dog park, where she met her devoted friend and fellow dog-lover, Linda Cordts.
