Cecil Spencer Smart, Jr., 73, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on June 10, 2012.
Cecil was born on December 23, 1939, in Lebanon, Missouri, to the late Alveda Georgia (Barr) & Reverend Cecil Spencer Smart, Sr. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Cecil was an avid reader and a faithful member of the Ogletown Baptist Church in Newark, Delaware.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Lewis of Lanesville, IN; brothers, Paul Smart (Charlotte) of Dover, Delaware & David Smart (Donna) of Crisfield, Maryland; nieces & nephews, Sandy Lewis-Townsend of Lanesville, IN, Ronda Lewis of Jeffersonville, IN, Sarah Smart of Dover, Delaware, and Katy and Daniel Smart of Crisfield, Maryland; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation was chosen following Cecil's wishes. Burial of his ashes will take place at Hillhouse Cemetery, a family cemetery in Stoutland, Missouri, at a later date.
