Cecil "Butch" Morgan, Jr.

Cecil "Butch" Morgan, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Butch had a passion for music and was a skilled guitar player. His talent was displayed from the time he was 15 until he was physically unable to continue playing. Butch will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on January 30, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky to Cecil and Clara (Warren) Morgan. He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Morgan, Sr.; mother, Clara Lee; and brother, Richard Morgan.

Butch is survived by his loving family, daughter, Shelby Morgan; sisters, Carol (Michael) McLemore, Susan (Russ) Mayes; brothers, James (Sharon) Morgan, Michael (Mary) Morgan; special friend and mother of his child, Terri Green; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
