Catrina Danise Maxwell, born on June 7, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2025. Catrina was a remarkable individual whose immense heart and selflessness were evident in every facet of her life. Throughout her years, she dedicated herself to caring for others before considering her own needs, a testament to her compassionate spirit.
Known for her love of the color purple and her passion for singing gospel music, Catrina brought joy to those around her. Her melodic voice resonated with warmth and hope, uplifting the spirits of friends and family alike. Catrina's presence was a source of comfort and inspiration, embodying the essence of faith and love.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Whitney Maxwell, along with her cherished grandchildren, Christian Walker, Angel Walker, and Lyric Walker. Catrina is also survived by her brothers, Treavor (Rhonda) Martin and Michael Maxwell Sr., as well as a host of nieces and nephews: Asia Maxwell, Jasmine Maxwell, Michael Maxwell Jr., Samiko Maxwell, Israel Maxwell, Nevaeh Maxwell, Shauntrice Martin, Twanni McClellan, Sabrina McClellan, Phallon Garnett, Tytoriano Braugher, A'Nyssa Braugher, Keaynan Braugher, and Jatavian Braugher. Catrina was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria Maxwell and James Edward Martin.
