Cathy Jane (Chapman) Fanning, 59, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015. She loved to play bingo and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was born on July 15, 1955 in New Albany to Darrell Chapman and the late Allie (Myers) Chapman. Along with her mother, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Fanning.
Cathy is survived by her children, Michael Fanning, Timothy Fanning (Brittany), Francis Etheridge (Ronnie), Brain Fanning (Samantha), Coley VanMeter; brother, Ricky Chapman (JoAnn), Anita Pfister; grandchildren, Nathan, Gavin, Dylan, Skyler, Aiden, Savannah, Madison, Thomas, Gracie, and Isabella.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 12 PM. Her Funeral Service will be at 1:30 PM on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
