Catherine Sue "Cathy" Sands, 59, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of the Ohio Valley Blind Association and VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was born on May 7, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada to the late Gerald and Mildred Catherine (James) Sands. Cathy is survived by her siblings, Rebecca Osborne (John), Harold Sands (Chelle), James Sands (Sharon), Tony Sands (Carolyn); niece and guardian, Theresa Jacobs; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Monday, March 14, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her Funeral Service taking place at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Contributions in Catherine's memory may be made to the Ohio Valley Blind Association (c/o Treasurer. (4525 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119).
