Catherine Sue Reilly

Catherine “Cathy” Sue Reilly was born on July 26, 1956, to Leo and Mary (French) Reilly in Louisville, KY. She passed away on July 1, 2025, in Clarksville, IN.

Cathy attended St. Columba Church and School before moving to New Albany, IN, where she attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with her family. She graduated from Hazelwood Middle School and New Albany H.S. She worked in food service and in a nursing care facility. She loved to crochet and created many beautiful, cherished gifts for her family and friends, often while watching Andy and Barney, Mash, and Bewitched on TV. Her faith and devotion to the Eucharist provided strength and comfort. She always kept a rosary close at hand. Cathy loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings. She loved animals, especially her beloved companion, Max. Neighborhood dogs eagerly awaited the biscuit that was in her pocket as she made her rounds.

Cathy leaves behind her siblings and their spouses: Mary Lee Boyette (Jerome, deceased); Michael Reilly (Donna, deceased); Patricia Baker (Eugene); Dennis Reilly (Essie); Elizabeth Walter (Vennard) as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, lots of cousins, and her devoted and caring friend, Joan Gilley.

A Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on July 12, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1752 Scheller LN, New Albany, IN.
