Catherine "Cat" McDonald

Catherine "Cat" McDonald, age 63, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith.

Born on July 20, 1963, Cat lived a life defined by her extraordinary kindness and bright spirit. She brought joy to every room she entered and was known by all for her wonderful sense of humor and fun-loving nature. Above all, her life was anchored by her deep faith and a fierce, unconditional love for her sons, who were her proudest achievement and greatest joy.

She is survived by her beloved sons, Gregory Rice (Emily) and Trey McDonald; sisters, Vanessa Mosby, Denise Mosby, Darlene Mosby, June Mosby, and Susan Mosby; brother-in-law, Paul French; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cat is preceded in death by her mother, Florence Mosby; father, Charles Bournes; and siblings, Peggy French, Charles Mosby, Butch Mosby, and Danny Mosby.

Celebration of Life for Cat will be from 4-8PM on Saturday, August 15 at 3408 Buckeye Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40216.
