Catherine LaVerne (Paul) Cundiff, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. LaVerne enjoyed reading and dancing and was an exceptional cook. She was a past member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville.
She was born on March 11, 1931 to the late Charles S. & Mary Louise (Melcher) Paul. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Cundiff; sons, David Cundiff and Steve Cundiff; brother, Bob Paul; and her sisters, Dolores Crosby and Yvonne Wood.
LaVerne is survived by her daughters, Gloria McCarthy and Juanita Nordhoff; brother, Milton Paul; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Eva Cundiff; and her nephew, Tim Wood.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 6 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. LaVerne's final resting place will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lanesville, Indiana.
