Carson Blankenship, Sr.
November 7, 1927 — February 3, 2015
Carson Blankenship, Sr. 87, passed away on February 3, 2015. He was a very family oriented person who loved going to the country and spending time with his friends and most of all his family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, provider, caring and genuine person.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Blankenship; 4 brothers; 3 sisters and grandchildren, Frank (Wayne) Ballard and Ashley Blankenship.
Carson is survived by his sons, Carson (Lisa) Blankenship, Jr., Ronald (Gigi) Blankenship, Thomas Blankenship and Gary Blankenship; daughter, Sandra Cook; grandchildren, Brad, Chrissy, Brandon, Bradley, Matthew, Connie, Deirdra, Aaron, Stacey, Joe and Jessie; great-grandchildren, Travis, Keenan, Gabby, Ben, Eli, Carson, Jackson, Emerson and Sophia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2015, from 1pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Carson's life will be Monday, February 9, 2015, beginning at 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
