Carrolleen B. Simpson, 97, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021.

She was born on November 26, 1923 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Carroll and Lena Brock. Carrolleen was a member of Southeast Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Rice Simpson; Son, Clyde Michael Simpson; sister, Martha Lou Graves; and her parents.

Carrolleen is survived by her daughter, Sondra (Cecil) Steen; grandchildren, Andy (Christina) Steen and Ellie (Alex) Sherman; great grandchildren, Emily Steen and Adriaan Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). Her funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

The family requests that contributions in Carrolleen's memory be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or Southeast Christian Church.

The family would like to thank the staff of Forest Springs Health Campus for their loving and excellent care.
