Carrie Mae Thompson, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020.
She was born on August 28, 1937 in Beechmont, Kentucky to Orville and Ruby (Cartwright) Parsons. She was a graduate of Hughes-Kirkpatrick High School in 1955. She retired from Jefferson County Public Schools as a Teaching Assistant. She loved crafts, reading, quilting and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 29 years, Charles Edward Thompson, sister, Ruby Lynn Parsons, brother, Orville Newman Parsons.
Carrie is survived by her two sons, Mark Edward Thompson & Gregory (Tracey) Thompson, 3 grandchildren, Kara Thompson, Haley Thompson & Grant Thompson, sister, Ellean Parsons Murphy, brother, Bobby Parsons, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family requests that contributions in Carrie's memory be made to Special Olympics.
