Carolynn L. (McCauley) Grangier, 74, of New Albany, Indiana passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on December 18, 2017. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church-New Albany and the proud owner and operator of the Yankee Doodle Restaurants. Carolynn was truly devoted to her family and serving those in need. Carolynn loved horses, baking, sewing, and being "…on her way to the beach".
Carolynn was born on August 21, 1943 in New Albany to the late Walter and Virginia J. (McCutchen) McCauley. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Darren C. Grangier; grandson, Cody Grangier; and sister, Mildred Lamb
Carolynn is survived by her husband, Raymond A. Grangier, Jr.; children, Raymond A. Grangier, III (Tammy), Anthony D. "Tony" Grangier (Sharon), and Stephanie L. Grangier Furnish; grandchildren, Andrew Grangier, Tiffany Grangier Larson (Matt), David Budd (Misty), Krystal Grangier, Brittany Grangier, Laura Thacker Ayala (Larry), Sasha Grangier, Christopher Grangier, Jadon Grangier, Whitney Grangier, Corey Grangier, Lily Day Huber, and Aryah "Bossy Sauce" Hargrove.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 1 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church-New Albany with cremation to follow.
