Carolyn L. Toy, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
She was born on August 5, 1932 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late William, Sr. and Lula (Culley) Toy. She is also preceded in death by her brother, William Owen Toy, Jr. and great-nephew Keith Libbert.
Carolyn had many interests including gardening, art and traveling to see the world. She graduated from Centre College and obtained a Master's Degree from Spalding University. After graduating from Centre College she began working as an interior designer and school teacher.
She is survived by her nephews, Jeffrey Toy (Holly) and William Owen Toy, III, niece, Teran Jackson (Kerry), great-nieces, Tara Gillum (Scott), Megan Jackson, Ellianna Toy and great-nephew, Kienan Toy and great-great nephew Landon Gillum and great-great niece Emily Gillum.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with a graveside service on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm EST/12:00 pm CTS at Fernwood Cemetery (920 Madison Street Henderson, KY 42419).
