Carolyn L. Stearman, 68, of Simpsonville, Kentucky passed away on May 8, 2017.
Carolyn graduated from PRP High School. Her love of words led her to pursue a degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky. She worked as a Technical Writer in the healthcare industry.
She loved music, gardening, traveling, cooking and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Carolyn was born on November 14, 1948, in Shelbyville, Kentucky to the late Calvin and Betsy Dunnavan. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jay Dunnavan.
She is survived by her daughters, Randi P. Stearman (Sean Rudd), Rebecca Stearman, Rikki L. Stearman (Tracy Burgess); grandchildren, Quintin Stearman, Ethan Rudd and Tammy Stearman; sisters, Gloria Dunnavan and Sharon Morris; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
In loving memory of Carolyn, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Louisville (6100 Dutchmans Ln. # 401, Louisville, KY 40205).
