Carolyn Kinney Rosenberg, born on May 29, 1942, in Shelbiana, Kentucky, peacefully passed away at her home on January 1, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments that will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.

Beautifully woven into the fabric of family life, Carolyn's years were highlighted by countless memories shared during reunions at Pennyrile State Park. These gatherings served as a testament to the importance she placed on family, bringing together generations to celebrate each other and create lasting bonds.

Carolyn was a vibrant spirit who embraced a wide range of interests. She was an ardent supporter of the UK Wildcats Basketball team and found joy in watching K Dramas, often sharing her enthusiasm with loved ones. Music was another significant part of her life, with BTS holding a special place in her heart, echoing her youthful spirit and zest for life.

She is survived by her daughters, Earlene (John) Petrey, Nita (Mark) Crane, and Betty (Ty) Vore; her sister, Anita Elswick; and her beloved grandchildren: Sarah Petrey, Kathryn (Myles) McClure, Adam (Christina) Crane, Wesley (Taylor) Crane, Joe Vore, and Anna Grace Vore, as well as her great-grandchildren, Mac and Henry McClure.

Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Harold Joseph Rosenberg, and her parents, Earl Kinney and Betty Catherine Kinney. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Charles Kinney, Robert Kinney, and David Kinney, and her sisters, Ava Kinney, Rebecca Cisco, Lou Ellen Hughes, and Eudoia Brophy.

Her life was a rich tapestry of love, laughter, and devotion to family, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carolyn’s warmth and spirit will forever remain in the memories shared by those she loved and who loved her in return.

There will be private Family Graveside service held at a later date.
