Carolyn Bernice Polk

Carolyn Bernice Polk, 63, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother (Nana). Christ and family were most important. She was a faithful Member of Gospel of the Kingdom Campground Church. Her beautiful singing blessed the church. She was well known for her fabulous recipes that touched many hearts. Her creative talents with soaps and oils helped beautify many. If she had it to give, she gave that and more.

She was born on October 7, 1962 in Newark, New Jersey to Thomas and Barbara (Warren) Taylor. She is preceded in death by her Father, Thomas Taylor, Mother, Barbara Taylor.

Carolyn is survived by her loving Husband of 42 years, Michael Polk, Sr., Daughter, Tanisha Trice, Son, Michael Polk, Jr..

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Her Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Gospel of the Kingdom Campground Memorial Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
