Carolyn Marie Nethery, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
She was born on June 6, 1945 in Louisville to Gilbert and Bertha Grubbs. She was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky working at The Kentucky State Fair Grounds and KCIW in Pewee Valley. She was a member of Evangel World Prayer Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Aline Nethery Booth; sisters, Martha Boblett and Kathleen Rucker; and brothers, David, Daniel, and Eugene Grubbs.
Carolyn is survived by her son, James Nethery II of Louisville; grandchild, Lisa Marie Childers (Chris); great grandchildren, Christian Childers and Roselynn Childers of Shepherdsville; sisters, Marcella Boblett, of Lawrenceburg, Deborah Grubbs Richardson of Bardstown, and Mary Riley, of Springfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). Her Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
