Carolyn "Carol" Mardis, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on August 16, 2017.
Carol was born on February 3, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Lawrence and Marie Story. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Mardis and sister, Louise Sharp.
Carol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children, son, Kevin Mardis, daughters, Kerri Pontrich (Gary) and Kelly Wright; grandchildren, Sarah Pontrich, Emily Pontrich, Abigail Pontrich, Zachary Pontrich, David Wright, William Wright, Katherine Wright; sisters, Evelyn Perkins and Alice Kurtz; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a funeral service to honor the life of Carol to follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park.
