Carolyn Moore Scobee Janes

Carolyn Moore Scobee Janes, 83, of Louisville, KY, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on March 22, 2017. She was born February 16, 1934, in Shelbyville, KY, to Grace Watkins and James Henry Moore.
A Columbus, IN resident from 1976 – 1992, she earned her Associate's Degree in Accounting in 1987 from Ivy Tech, Columbus, IN. Returning to Louisville in 1992 to be near family, she retired from the payroll department of University of Louisville in 2005. She was a lifelong UK fan. She considered her special achievements being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. She was a lifelong Baptist and faithful member of Southeast Christian Church since 2000.
She was widowed by her first husband, Frank Scobee, Jr., in 1956. Also predeceasing her are her second husband, Bill Janes; sisters, Laurence Drescher, Mary Frazier and Kaye Moore; brothers Robert Moore, Gene Moore, and Rev. James Moore.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Jennifer Ludwick (Brad), Tim Janes (Jenny) of Louisville, and Kari Drinnon (Allen) of Seymour, Indiana; six grandchildren, Garrett Drinnon (Teage), Andrew Drinnon (Alex Harsha), Ali Ludwick Martino (Anthony), Alden Ludwick, Michael and Kevin Janes; two great-grandchildren, Owen Cayot and Beckett Drinnon; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, in Middletown, and 10-11a.m. on Saturday, March 25th in the Fireside Room at Southeast Christian Church. A celebration of life service on will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 11 a.m., Southeast Christian Church Chapel, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, with burial to follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Ky.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Crusade for Children or the American Heart Association.
