Carolyn M. Jacobs

Carolyn M. Jacobs, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 3, 1936 to the late Robert S. and Georgia Mary Jacobs. She was a member of the New Life Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a life long foster granny. She was baptized at a young age at Bates Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert S. Jacobs, Jr.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved children, Carol D. Jackson, Gerald Wayne Jacobs, and Kevin D. (Pamela) Jacobs; siblings, Geraldine Talbott and Dorothy L. Stringer Southall; grandchildren, Kurt T. Jackson, Jr., Kevin L. Jackson, Gerald Lee Jacobs, Jr., Richella Jacobs, Danisha Gazaway, Micah Gazaway, Erica Woodson and K'lan Dunlap; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Terry Allis, Averelle Talbott, Jeffrey Talbott, David Wayne Stringer and Ronnie Stringer; a dear cousin, Suzette Bennett and a host of other family members and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
