Carolyn Ann Harrah

Carolyn Ann Harrah, age 70, of Brooks, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 29, 1946, in Louisville, to the late Leo and Dorothy Stiefvater Zurkuhlen. She was a graduate of Presentation High School, class of 1964. She married David R. Harrah on March 22, 1969, in Louisville. Together they had two sons. Carolyn enjoyed baking, and loved being "Mawmaw" to her great-nieces, Abigail and Catherine. They truly brightened her life like nothing else could.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, David R. Harrah; sons, David R. Harrah, Jr. and Paul L. Harrah; brothers, Leo (Kathy), Greg (Patty) and Richard (Minnie) Zurkuhlen; sisters, Joan Halbleib (Joe), Paula Walton (Tom), Ann Downey (Rex), Agnes Apted and Mary Brady (Fred); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews; cousins and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 4-8pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. Mass of Celebration will be 10am Thursday, June 15th at St. Luke Catholic Church, 4211 Jim Hawkins Dr. Louisville, KY 40229.
