Carolyn Sue Dewald, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 14, 1948 to the late Myrtle Louise Shaw and William Edward Shaw. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church and loved playing bingo at the VFW post.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Dewald Jr.; a brother, David Shaw and a sister, Patricia Lynch.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Fred Dewald; children, Lisa (Donald) Kihnley, Anthony (Michelle) Dewald and Willie Dewald; grandchildren, Tiffany Shutlz, Ashley Farnsworth, Devin Dewald, Heather Dewald, Haylee Dewald and Keiran Dewald; great grandchildren, Caden Simcoe and Jordan Farnsworth; siblings, Norma (Billy) Zink, Shirley Spratt and Charlie (Roseann) Shaw; and a host of other family members and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
