Carolyn Burns

Carolyn Ann Burns, age 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026. A cherished mother, mawmaw, sister, aunt, and friend, Carolyn found joy in sewing, knitting, reading, gardening, and preparing holiday meals for her loved ones. Her happiest moments were spent with her family, especially on beach vacations. Her warmth and love will be missed by all who knew her.

Born on October 19, 1947, in Louisville to Norman and Ruth Schoenbaechler, she was preceded in death by her parents and her niece, April Collins. Carolyn is survived by her devoted children, Lisa (Lee) Adams, David (Stephanie) Burns, Brad (Lori) Burns, and Timothy Burns; her grandchildren, Lauren Adams, Shelby (Robert) Young, D.J. Burns, Jackson Burns, Aaron (Sky) Burns, and Bailee Adams; great-granddaughters, Lucy and Lily Young; brothers, Larry and Michael (Jana) Schoenbaechler; niece, Vanessa Schoenbaechler; along with many dear relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

A Memorial Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
