Carole Anne (Kamer) Botkins, 80, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Carole was born on May 17, 1935 in New Albany, Indiana, to Edwin and Thelma (Dyer) Kamer. She worked as a pharmacy technician for over forty years. Carole enjoyed all sports and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her husband; Donald Lee Botkins; a son, Don E. Botkins, daughter, Leigh Ann Botkins, sister, Mary Deason. She is survived by her children; Jan A. Appolloni (Robert), Cara Roth (Nick), Grant Botkins (Kathy); siblings, Glenn Kamer, Janet Onorato, Jackie Reber Kruer, Charles Kamer, Karen Forrester; 7 grandchildren, Troy, Michael, Jacob, Ben, Aaron, Brittany, Alyssa; 5 great-grandchildren, Braden, Finn, River, Jocelyn, and Brycen.
Visitation will be from 12PM to 8PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home ( 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her service will at 11AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home with visitation before from 9-11AM with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
