She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Earl Woodruff, Sr.; parents, Horace and Hallie Downs and her sister, Peggy Mattingly.

Carol leaves behind to cherish her memories, her Daughter, Jeannie Carol Woodruff Fougnie; son, Kent (Shirlee) Woodruff; grandchildren, Michael A. (Meagan) Fougnie, Heather Fougnie, Dakota Lacefield, Kamryn (Neal) Burnett and Karson Woodruff; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Fougnie, Isabella Fougnie, Isaac Fougnie and Elijah Fougnie; sister, Dottie (Kenny) Massey; brother, Geno Downs and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Carol will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 2pm-6pm, at Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 4401 Manslick Road, Louisville, KY, 40216.
