Carol Ann (Tucker) Wibbels, 73, born on March 25, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away on May 6, 2026. Carol lived a life that reflected warmth and an enduring commitment to her family.
As the embodiment of a devoted homemaker, Carol possessed a remarkable talent as a seamstress, creating cherished baby blankets for her loved ones that have left lasting impressions of her care and attention. She found joy in the simple pleasures of tending her garden, nurturing flowers with the same loving hands that crafted treasures from fabric. Her knowledge of home living was profound, filled with special tricks and secrets that made everyday life easier and more beautiful for those around her. Together with Jack, Carol enjoyed a wide array of hobbies that underscored their deep bond. They delighted in fishing, archery, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and the rewarding work of caring for their property. These activities not only enriched their lives but also strengthened the partnership built over 55 years of marriage.
Carol contributed to her community beyond her home, serving for many years as the bookkeeper at Longest Construction, and as both treasurer and secretary of Tucker’s Landing Inc., where her dedication and organizational skills helped sustain and grow these endeavors.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Harold “Jack” Wibbels; son, Daniel Wibbels; her siblings, Patricia Tucker Duffy, Gary Tucker and his wife, Mary Ellen, Tammy Tucker Simms and her husband, Kevin, and Rick Tucker; her sister-in-law, Diane Krekel Wibbels; brother-in-law, Ron Wibbels; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Rose Ringley Tucker, as well as her siblings, Steve Tucker and Linda Tucker Stein.
Carol Ann Wibbels leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Her presence enriched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
