Carol Ann Putman, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021.

She was born on June 25, 1947 in Louisville to the late James E. and Anna L. Riggs. Carol attended Butler High School. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a Kosair Shrine Ladybug. Carol was always a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was devoted to her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard L. Putman; her parents; and her brother, William E Riggs.

Carol is survived her sons, Rick Putman (Tracy) and Ronald Putman (Jennifer); brother, James Riggs; sisters, Theresa Blackman, Brenda Carlile, and Debra House; grandchildren, Adam Gordon (Catherine), Christian Gordon, Ashlee Putman, and Elizabeth Putman; as well as her dear friends, Suzette Govoni and Linda Melton.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Donation envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
