Carol Jean Morris departed this world to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She was born on June 11, 1941 to Oscar and Delora Manuel. During her 73 years she was a faithful servant of our Lord, a devoted, loving and caring wife to William L. Morris for 53 years, a compassionate friend to those around her, always thinking of others before herself. She loved animals, particularly dogs, with a passion.
Carol is survived by her husband and her brother, Leslie Ray Manuel, wife Marsha, nephew Jeffrey Manuel (Christy); and sister-in-law, Nancy Morris. She was loved and will be missed greatly.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 8:00 Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral ceremony will held at 10:30am Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be directed to Paws with Purpose (P.O. Box 7834, Louisville, KY 40257).
