Carol Lee Mcdaniel
May 18, 1938 — February 10, 2019
Carol Lee McDaniel, 80, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday morning, February 10, 2019. He was a disabled United States Navy veteran and a member of the VFW Post 3281. Carol enjoyed playing pool, fishing and also riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He was born on May 18, 1938 in English, Indiana to the late Cyrus and Ruah (Spriggins) McDaniel. Carol was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Bohannon) McDaniel; and son, Allen McDaniel.
Carol is survived by his children, Pamela Herthel (Allen), Angela Zeman, Melissa McDaniel, Todd McDaniel (Nina), Jonilee McDaniel; siblings, Ronnie McDaniel (Oletta), Larry McDaniel, Luetta Peters (Don); 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will take place at 2 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with visitation following the service until 8 PM. Carol will be laid to rest privately with military honors at New Albany National Cemetery at a later date.
