Carol Lee Huckleberry, 78 passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on August 30, 2020.
Carol was born on September 26, 1942 at home in Jeffersontown, KY the second daughter of Haskell and Alma Crask. Carol graduated from Eastern High School in 1962, and was a devoted housewife and mother. She was also a loyal employee of Cadence Academy Preschool at the time of her death. She was a longtime member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Carol loved to travel, she loved her garden and doing her cross stitching along with feeding the neighborhood cats. A few qualities described by her family as being their favorite were her Christian Faith, and loving devotion as a wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and loyal friend.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Ron Huckleberry, her children David, Darryl, and Jessica, and 5 grand-children, Kenneth, Zachary, and Benjamin, Quintin and Grayce. Her sisters Marie (Richard), Judy (Dennis), and Nancy (Austin) along with numerous Nephews, Nieces, Grand-nephews and Grand-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce Dauenhaur and brother Jimmy Crask.
Life Celebration services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday.
