Carol Elizabeth (Black) Hughes, 75, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016. She was born on October 29,1940, in Tiffin, Ohio, to George and Hazel (Lutz) Black. Carol was a great caregiver and also owned and operated a cleaning service for several years. She was a member at Salem Cass Methodist Church in Findlay, Ohio, and Church of the Dunes in Grand Haven, Michigan. Carol enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and reading.
Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Hughes. She is survived by her loving children; Brian Hughes (Susan), and Alisa Minzey (Norman); siblings, Ruth Raudabaugh (Joe), Daniel Black (Julia); 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Kayleigh, Brianna, Persephone; a great-grandchild, Isabella.
Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Newcomer Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
