Carol Ann Dennison

Carol Ann Dennison, lovingly known as Nana and Sasha, passed away on August 31, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on August 4, 1941, in Barren County to Raymond and Louise Rogers.

Carol built a life marked by care for others and a warm, unmistakable presence. She worked as a nurse at Norton Healthcare, a role that reflected her commitment to helping people. Outside of her work, she enjoyed reading her Bible and playing the lottery. She was known for being both goofy and stubborn, qualities that made her memorable to those who knew and loved her. Carol always seemed to have a cookbook nearby, and she was the kind of person who would have food ready whenever someone stopped by. She also dearly loved her dogs, which were an important part of her daily life and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Dennison; her father, Raymond Rogers; her mother, Louise Rogers; her sister-in-law, Gloria Rogers; and many other extended family.

Carol leaves behind family who will carry her memory forward with love, including her nephews, Jordan Rogers (Chelsea) and Brendan Rogers (Alexus); her granddaughter, Misty Dennison; her great-granddaughter, Ashley Sims (Paul); 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-nieces; 1 great-great-nephew; and her beloved dog, Peanut. In their lives, her love, her spirit, and the many small kindnesses she offered so naturally will continue to be remembered.

Carol Ann Dennison will be remembered for her caring work, her faithful habits, her welcoming kitchen, and the distinctive personality that made her truly herself. Her memory will remain cherished by her family and all who had the blessing of knowing her.
