Carol Ann (Piper) Blanton

Carol Ann (Piper) Blanton, 62, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Carol loved to sew and was a very gifted quilter. She enjoyed spending time with children and loved Disney, especially Tinker Bell. Carol attended Christ Gospel church with her late husband, Glenn. She battled courageously with breast cancer for over 18 years. She was affectionately known as "Carolee Girl" by her family.

Carol was born on June 10, 1956 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Blanton; and father, William Piper.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy Piper-Swisher; sister, Sherry Klingsmith; brother, Billy (Jean) Piper; nephew, Joey (Kama) Piper; nephew, William Klingsmith; great niece, Kaylynne Piper; stepdaughter, Lana Novak; stepgrandchildren, Isaiah and Jillian Novak; Aunt, Mary Dailey; and 44 more aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Speed, Indiana.
