Carol Louise Aranjo, born on January 27, 1945, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home in Louisville Kentucky, on November 23, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with medical issues.
A proud graduate of Bullard Havens Technical School in Bridgeport, Carol was dedicated to her career as a School Bus Supervisor in Bridgeport, where she worked for many years before relocating to Kentucky in early 1990s. Her professional journey was marked by a genuine love for children, often humorously noting that she adored them just as much as she enjoyed sending them home at the end of the day.
Beyond her professional life, Carol was a woman of diverse interests and talents. She had a deep appreciation for the arts and crafts, particularly enjoying the intricate creation of miniature crafts, including dollhouses and ships. Her passion for nature was evident in her love for flowers and plants, which brightened both her home and her spirit. Additionally, Carol found great joy in her spiritual community at St. Augustine Catholic Church, where she cherished her time and connections.
She is survived by her brother, John Aranjo (Pamela); her sister, Bea Ramos; and her beloved nieces, Niki, Nita-Ann, and Latoya, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will remember her with affection and gratitude.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Jouquim and Anna Aranjo, as well as her siblings - Anthony, Eddie, Jack, Maryann, Pete, Joey, Manny, and Billy.
Her memory will live on in the lives she touched, through the crafts she created, the flowers she cultivated, and the laughter she shared with all who knew her. Carol Louise Aranjo leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will not be forgotten.
A Mass to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1310 West Broadway, Louisville, KY 40203.
