Carlis James Hawkins Sr., 59 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born June 14, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Anna Mae Hawkins.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by son, Carlis Hawkins Jr.

Carlis is survived by his loving wife, Melanie; a daughter, Angela Hawkins; a son, Phillip Hawkins; two sisters, Linda (Larry) Hill and Rita (Joe) Cottner; a brother, Robert Hawkins; seven grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
