Carletta Denis Miles was born on November 8, 1963 to the union of Norma Jean Miles and Carl Anderson in Louisville Kentucky. Carletta was the 4th of 5 children and grew up close to her parents and siblings.
Carletta studied the Baptist faith and with the Nation Of Islam during different times of her life. She truly resonated with the Islamic faith and the faith caused great changes in her life.
Carletta Miles from a young girl was so full of life. She lived bold and free, with a brave heart and warrior like spirit. She truly touched the hearts of many. This loving soul enjoyed traveling, shopping, and cooking large meals with family by her side. She was a true rock for others, being a great shoulder to lean on in times of need. She's selflessly Took care of her iIl family members, eagerly helped raise many of the youth in her family, staying only a phone call away if ever you were in need. As saddened as our family is to lose such a strong matriarch, we are comforted by all the love and support she has brought to each one of us.
Carletta Miles was preceded in death by her parents (Norma Jean Miles), and (Carl Anderson), a brother (Donnie Miles).
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter: Kevina N. Miles, a son: Kevin S. Miles, a granddaughter: Ja'kayla D. Flinnon, a fiancée: Ronald Sledge, a sister: Vickie R. Johnson, 2 brothers: Raymont C. Miles and Steven E. Miles, and a host of nieces, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her kind heart and warrior like spirit.
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house is many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also". John 14:1-3
Visitation will be Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel,10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, with a celebration of Carletta's life beginning at 1:00 p.m.
