Carl Melvin "Melvey" Stonecipher, 80, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He worked for many years as a woodworker for Keller Manufacturing.
He was born on October 18, 1935 in Depauw, IN to the late Edmond James & Cora Ethel (McCutcheon) Stonecipher.
Carl is survived by his nieces & caregivers, Cindy Byrd (Charles) and Delores Wheeler; sisters, Viola Martin and Ola Mae Hollis; sister in law, Phyllis Stonecipher; his faithful companion, Tiger; and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 12 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 1 PM Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens.
