Carl Ray Hardin, 59, passed away on February 28, 2016. He was an avid UK fan, was always helping others and had a great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Hardin and brother, Curtis Hardin.

Ray is survived by his wife, Mary Hardin; daughter, Stephanie (Tom) Skaggs; step daughters, Tracy Kelley, Tammy West (Eric); step-sons, Tim West and Eric West; 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; mother, Nora Hardin; siblings, Iris (John) Mueller, Glenn Hardin, Julie Hardin (Jerry) Riley, Clifford Hardin and Lori (Donny) Surface and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2016, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Ray's life will be Friday, March 4, 2016, beginning at 11am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.

Entombment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West.
