Carl Ray Lindeman

October 16, 1940 — November 9, 2018

Carl Ray Lindeman, age 78 of Louisville, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018. He graduated with a Bachelor Degree from the University of Louisville and in addition, 42 hours of Law School. Carl Ray was Captain with the Louisville Police Department, retiring after 27 years of service. He was also a member of Swigart Masonic Lodge #218 F&AM, the Elks Lodge #8, and a life-long member of FOP Lodge #614. Carl Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Carl O. and Ann Buch Lindeman; and his brother, Robert Lee Lindeman.

Carl Ray is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Hilda S. Lindeman; sister, Ann Tross; step-son, William F. Case, Jr. (Volinda); step-grandson, Matthew Case; nephew, Stuart Tross (Linda); several other nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 and also from 9 to 11 am Wednesday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Carl Ray's life will follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
