Carl William Humphrey, 75, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. He was an employee at Flexible Materials in Jeffersonville. Carl was an avid NASCAR fan and follower of #88. He enjoyed fishing, as well as working out in the yard and spending time in nature. He could be described as a great man that cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be deeply missed.
He was born on March 31, 1941, to the late Frank and Velena Humphrey in New Amsterdam, Indiana. Carl was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Humphrey; and brother, Robert Humphrey.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Helen (Ceschin) Humphrey; children, Clint Humphrey (Tabitha), Craig Humphrey (Annie), Jess Blanton (Denise), Donna Blanton, and Cindy Blanton; siblings, Paul Humphrey (Lee) and Carolyn Sneed; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service taking place at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in New Albany.
The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (1201 Story Avenue, Suite 205, Louisville, Kentucky 40206).
