Carl Kenneth Graeter, Jr.

Carl Kenneth Graeter, age 82 of Memphis, Indiana, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Carl grew up in the West End of Louisville and worked in the family grocery store. He went to Flaget High School and graduated from University of Louisville and Bellarmine College with his Masters Degree in Business Administration. Carl retired from NIBCO after 25 years of service. He enjoyed animals, outdoor adventures, collecting anything that spiked his interest and dining with friends and family. Carl's favorite time of the year was Thanksgiving and Christmas so he could be with his family, friends and food. He enjoyed searching for that perfect gift for the Christmas Holiday. Carl was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Carla Graeter Johnson; and his parents, Carl and Henrietta Graeter.

Carl is survived by his children, Robert E. Graeter (Tammy) and Leslie Graeter; his girlfriend and companion of over 30 years, Tanuel Richardson; his son-in-law, James Johnson; brother, Mike Graeter (Mary); sister, Kathy Graeter Cerullo; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be 1 to 3 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a celebration of Carl's life to follow at 3 pm. Burial will be private at a later date.
