Carl Alan Gibbons

Carl Alan Gibbons, 60, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was a sports enthusiast, an avid golfer, and a huge Louisville Cardinals fan.

He was born on November 19, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Carl and Mary (Voll) Gibbons. Carl was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Hogan.

Carl is survived by his siblings, Barbara Sturtzel (Gilbert), Frank Hogan (Joyce), June Cole, Carolyn Coulter (James), and Linda Crane; and many nieces and nephews.

A reception of family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation was chosen, and Carl will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
